The first prefabricated sections of the new Windermere ‘steamer’ Swift have arrived at the company’s Lakeside site.
The first two sections of the ship arrived on Monday Morning 22nd July and were transported from Newby Bridge to Lakeside between 5 am and 6 am. These were then joined together on site during Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd July.
FerryView are delighted to be following this exciting project, the first new Steamer on Windermere for over 80 years.
Construction of the vessel will continue over the coming months with the vessel due to enter service in 2020. And we cannot wait!
